Another Day, Another Upgrade

Filed in From The Management

This site covers how to start a blog, build traffic and make money blogging. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Just days after I begrudgingly upgraded to WP 2.5 which I hate, it’s time to upgrade to WP 2.5.1.

This, on a platform they’re boasting was constructed over a 6-month period by the “WordPress community”?

Some days I think there’s more “monkey” in code monkey than decent code.

UPDATE: WPCandy has a list of 30+ things that should be fixed in WP 2.6 I have to say I agree with every single freaking one of them.

You may as well get your panties in a wad because 2.5.2 is just around the corner according to sources;)

Panties in a wad? I see I stopped wearing thongs about x.x.0 versions too early.

Still loving my 2.0.X fork, which Technorati continues to update with no issues. :D

Even with 2.5 there still has been no compelling reason for me to upgrade. The only thing I might miss is the use of Ajax so users can edit comments and the use of comment threads. Other than that, I think I can pretty much hold out until the release of WP 3.0. Though by that time I may actually go back to MovableType just out of spite. ;)

I know I know, a little late to the game. But I can assure you, with 20 years experience that “code monkey” does indeed have far more monkey than code.

Mike Wilsons last blog post..This saddened me
